Exhibit: Pilgrims of Cherbourg

Mont St-Michel, one of the jewels of Normandy, has been a pilgrimage destination for Catholics since the Middle Ages. Pilgrims from England typically docked in Cherbourg, which bestowed the small port town with a rich religious history.
